Why?

I used to consistently go to two Rails conferences that are no longer happening. Conference organizing is a difficult and sometimes expensive endeavor and not all conferences can go on forever. I decided to start my own because I really want there to be more places for Rails developers to gather. I get so much energy and inspiration from attending conferences and I want more of that.
